Back in 2015, I found this site with a ton of interesting problems that mesh mathematics with computer science and I was hooked. I persuaded 6 friends to join. We competed and collaborated. It was a blast. Of those 6, none are still active, but I still enjoy the simple pleasure of clicking ‘Check’ and seeing the white meeple leaning on green check mark. One of those friends hasn’t been active in over 5 years but managed to solve 169 problems. I’m still striving to catch up.
This particular repo is a reboot. I started solving in Python, then spent a year
or two in Java, then a season in C# with a spell doing F#. Now over a decade
later, I am back in Python. The simplicity of doing math in Python along with
modern dev tooling (eg: pdm) sold me. I have spent weekends experimenting with
the newer kids on the block (eg: Julia, Nushell), but none have persuaded me to
jump ship so far.
